Shoju-in's wind-bell festival fills the temple with more than 2,000 bells, but the quiet mountain setting matters as much as the display.
The 2026 season is scheduled for June 1 to September 30, with a closure on August 17. Hours are 09:00-16:30 and admission is ¥800.
Public transport is limited. Check the Uji Tea Bus timetable before leaving, or plan a car. Avoid building a tight return schedule around the last connection.
