Night cherry blossoms work best when the route stays compact. Choose one area and let the changing light do the work.

Start around Gion Shirakawa before dusk, continue to Maruyama Park, then walk toward the canal near Okazaki if energy and blossom conditions allow. Do not add Arashiyama or Fushimi to the same evening.

Bloom timing and illuminations change each year. Check Kyoto's official blossom updates, keep voices low near homes, and avoid tripods on narrow paths.
